Want to help a friend? I took a leap of faith and entered the Webtoons.com contest and it will take your help to win! I've created several all new comics that you can read right now, and while you're there, all I ask is that you rate my entry because you enjoy my strips and want to help me succeed! :D

Dec 17: Wow! You guys are amazing! I was really excited that LOL Rat was still on page 2 out of 23-pages of entries, because with new entries added every day, it was rising in the competition! :D Then I posted a new journal on my DeviantArt about the amazing couple of weeks I've been having, like seeing my dad at the holidays for the first time in over a decade last week! I took a half-hour out to play Mario Kart with my wife, Tiffany, and I came back and you guys voted LOL Rat back up to the first page! At #18 out of 461 entries, that put LOL Rat in the top 4%! Thank you guys so much! If you haven't shared LOL Rat with your friends, now is a great time, because every little bit helps! :D

It's real simple, all you have to do is log in (Twitter and Facebook are accepted) and click twice to rate my comics as you can see in the handy info-mo-graphi-tron below, and then read them!

p.s. I'll be adding a few more comics to the submission probably in the next week or so.

woohooligan Ahh, the mating call of the wild nerd! This is how I met my wife. Take it from a guy who's on his second marriage, chicks dig nerds! (Don't miss the guy in the viking costume!) It's true. If you can't think of anything else, just start quoting Star Trek. I suppose Ayn Rand might work too, but then you're just going to get women who see your marriage as a business investment. ;P

This gag occurred to me right after I finished up the recent story arc about a fetish panel at a local comic convention that was based on true events.

You nerds like women, right? Check out this nerdy woman in the alternate ending. (For about a week until the next comic is published.)

You know what else chicks dig? The Woohooligan Facebook Page! And being called chicks. I don't know why... I know they like small animals, probably has something to do with that.

What's your favorite bit of funny/bad dating advice?

Stay awesome, hooligans!

Britarse Love/Hate - I love this comic, therefore I hate you!

There I am setting up a webcomic with various different chapters allowing some short gags, some ongoing stories, some satirical, some slapstick etc, only to find you've been doing it longer and (at least some of the time) better! AAARGH! And that guy who does Holy Cow isn't bad either!

Actually I was hoping to exchange links from your comic to mine http://cockeyed.webcomic.ws/, but I'm not sure how to go about it. Advice, please?

woohooligan Heh. Thanks, Limey! I added Cockeyed Comix to my links page.

If you want to add a links page to Cockeyed,

1) go to the ComicFury home page, go to "Your Webcomics" at the upper left.

2) Select "Manage" on the left side of the menu for Cockeyed

3) Select "Create an extra page" at the very bottom of that menu.

If you haven't modified the html layout for your comic, I think it will show your new links page in the menu automatically once you've created it.

Is this supposed to be Dante and Randal from Clerks? If not, that's a very odd coincidence. This even sounds like a conversation they'd have!
woohooligan 7th Aug 2013, 8:45 PM
woohooligan You nailed it! <3 Yep, this is an homage to the characters from clerks.

I had already written the dialogue before I decided to give them names and I thought, "that sounds like Randal", so I decided to make it a Clerks reference. :)

I don't know that the Dante from Clerks is the kind to get his dating advice from Sci-Fi movies though. :P
